Ok, heres the situation. I was online the other day and someone from this board im-ed me. Started out as "hey whats your name" and then suddenly turned into a gigantamus bashing! I dont mind talking to people and even sharing my opinions (no matter how invalid they may be) but frankly, I DONT LIKE TO BE ATTACKED! >:( For the record, no, I am not Christian. Do I care if someone else is? NO. Just because Im not Christian doesnt mean I am weak and feeble-minded. If you (whoever im-med me) are Christian, ok fine. Youre intitled to your beliefs and I wont get in the way of that. But I will NOT tolerate these insults! If youre just on this board to attack people, then youre in the wrong place buddy. If thats the case, do everyone here a favor and just leave, ok? >:( I am very insulted.

Was this 'bashing' an attempted conversion? The two can easily be mistaken, as I have experienced.

what was the AIM screename if I may ask?
Oh and conversion attempts are like being bludgeoned over and over with a blunt piece of Iron.
Rude. Annoying. Painfull (for your intellect) and most of all
Pointless.

Not being in the Mafia myself (retired, if i may add). I would like to inform you of a simple feature that the lovely creators of AIM have made for users such as yourself. Lets say a certain angry someone who is sitting on the angry chair too long IM's you. You of all people and starts saying mean things. (I'm talking about really mean things.) Not just your average stuff. But thats behind the point. The Feature i'm talking about is called. "Blocking." Blocking is a simple feature, but yet very complex. After they start talking to you, You make sure to get the last word. Than hit this small Button, and click "yes" Add them to your block list and this problem never happens again. Believe me it works, I've tried it myself, but i don't have to very often because i have no friends, so mostly its just myself IM'ing myself. Than again thats another story. So just remember. BLOCK IS BLOCK.

Kinding going off topic and staying on topic at the same time... I was leaving lunch yesturday and there was a bunch of juniors sitting on that table outside of the cafeteria. They started making fun of the one kid they call "frankenstine". Now i dont know if you know who im talking about but he isnt a very popular person. He never would insult someone unless they attacked him first. I just don understand why there are so many people in our school who feel the need to verbally attack other people. Now im not talking about the stuff that goes on between people who are friends, im talking about people being jerks just because they want to be jerks. Are people so insecure that they feel the need to tare down others in order to feel good? Do they have no self worth on their own? Im sick of seeing people getting harassed, especially when they never did anything to provoke it.

Joel I think for once we both feel the same way about something. I have long been sick of shit like that against people who are simply different or not as socially active as the rest of us. It is disgusting how some people are ridiculed, especially based on physical appearance or something else they can't control. If I ever pulled a Columbine, the a-holes who do the insulting would be the ones I'd take out... Not that I'd ever pull a Columbine, mind you; just making a comparison. (Disclaimer: I do not now nor have ever in the past thought about bringing a gun into school, nor do I own a gun or have access to a gun.) (Note on the Disclaimer: hahahahaha)

I believe this is something that we all could agree on. I truely hate people for this reason: the fact that they turn on each other for no reason at all. Stupid little differences shouldnt make a difference. They are what make people unique and special. (Yes i truely believe that each of us are special) I cant stand (fill in with a derogatory noun of your choice) who just want to pick on people. Anyone remember that kid that ran to school everyday and always wore gloves (he graduated about 2 years ago). Once some (a malicious adj) jocks tripped him as he ran to school. I could barely keep from physically attacking them, which would have resulted badly. Erg im going to stew on this by myself for a while

your right I think we can all agree on this, and joel you hit it correctly at the end of your post on some of the reasons.
i know who 'frankenstein' is, and kids that make fun of them make me not sick, but angry. As most of you can tell I have a temper, and although i don't always use it as maturely as I should, those kids deserve every ounce of anger I can muster.
on a side note, what makes me laugh is when I see it happen first hand, I tell them to fuck off without saying it, usually with a sarcastic type of comment about their character. and guess what, they go away.
Everyone should try that and see if it works, if what you say is clever, the insecure butt pirate picking on whoever gets intimidated by the multiple brain cells your head houses.

I can't stand it when people judge someone and make up their mind that they strongly dislike them, without getting to know the person first. I think we're all guilty of doing this though. Some people have a continuous habit of judging just by outward appearance. Some of the most awesome people may not be "hot" or "beautiful" or popular, but if you get to know them, you might be pleasantly surprised about what's on the inside.

This is an interesting topic for me, I realize, because it brings up the issue of conscience.
I feel so bad for some people (ie, people who get picked on for stupid reasons) and want to do anything I can think of to help. Yet, as you know, I am not a christian. I know I have a rather talkitive conscience that usually makes me do things as I should do them rather than I might want to based on, say, peer pressure. So where does this come from, if I'm just an immoral ol' atheist who hates everyone?
(don't read into the last line; I'm trying to make a point, not saying you guys have called me that or anything)
