I find it interesting how they are going to be jailed if they have sex without getting sterilized. Funny, and yes, unconstitutional; it's bullcrap. The couple has the right to do whatever the hell they want in the case, according to the constitution. The may not be making intelligent decisions, but it's their right to make whoopie.

It is about time that a judge sides with the tax payer. I agree 100% with the judges ruling "This court believes the constitutional right to have children is overcome when society must bear the financial and everyday burden of care.". The judge never said that they couldn't have sex anymore, just no more kids. Why should the tax payer have to pay for the mistakes of these two people, and don't give me any of that civil liberties crap. The founding fathers didn't write the constitution so that people could be high on cocaine and have as many children they want on the tax payers expence. Sometimes it is neccesary for the government to make people responsible for their own actions!!!

Your one funny kid, that I think everyone can agree on, but this here.. is dumb. ;D I too, am angered by those that don't have the decency to stop having kids when they have been on welfare for an extended amount of time, however.. there is no way in hell they can be forced to stop consentual procreation because of this. There are two problems here: A. Irresponsible people (who still have rights, mind you) B. Our welfare program. Considering we can't do anything about problem A. due to the person(s) constitutional, and human rights we must put our focus on changing our welfare program. I actually wrote an essay i'm quite proud of on welfare.. maybe with some editing and mop up work I could submit it as an article for the website and we could discuss the ideas within it. Stevie? yesh?

John,
Sounds like a plan, and I'd certainly put it in the article response forums. Either e-mail it to me or give it to me in school...or something to that degree.
