As I just stated in another thread, one thing that pisses me off pretty much is when people don't hold the door for others who are just strides behind them. Worst kind: someone who speeds up to a closing door and slips through as it is closing rather than taking the time to open it so the next person can also get through. Also bad: the half-hearted push; when someone pushes the door just enough so they can get through, but no one else. Also bad: when you hold the door for someone on the opposite side the door opens, just holding it so they can hold it when they get to it, and they try to slip past you even if you're holding it in the middle of the door threshold and you are taking up most of the doorway.
I hate rude people...

It doesn't really bother me when people don't hold the door for me...BUT it's a nice gesture and I do appreciate it I notice it too; like, after my class tonight, I was walking out while talking to a guy (who's in my class). We exited the doors and he so kindly stayed behind me and held the door open. Now, I'm not saying that becaues I'm a girl and he's a guy he SHOULD hold it open for me, but I did appreciate it. I try to hold doors open for people a lot; esp if it's moms with a baby in their arms or whatnot. But yeah I can see why this would get to you sometimes, Colliohn.

Its the 90's, actually its not. But people have changed and just don't give a damn about anyone.

Do you want to know what i hate?
To bad cause im going to tell you anyways. People who are assholes. People who wont accept a little gesture of kindness from someone who they percieve as different. Point in case (and yes my story involves a door), I am a person who holds doors open. if i see someone who is about 15 or less seconds away i will stand there holding the door. I give a good 20 time for elderly. Once there just so happened to be an elderly couple heading towards my door on the way into park city, so i sand there holding the door. But the old lady was a prick and burned me by going to the other end of the wall of doors to enter just because i had purple hair. The lady wouldnt think about getting near someone with purple hair. Oh well people arent perfect and some are just assholes. But i cant blame them unless i want to become a hermiticle misanthrope which doesnt sound like a bad idea. ill have to give that one a little more thought

I have to admit that I am one of those people that slips through the open door. I just don't like touching that germ infested door. Especially when I see someone blow there nose into their hands and then open the door, and you know that no one cleans the door handles.
