That's right folks. The issue which has had our country brawling for decades has come to a close in Canada, splitting churches in the process.
It happened just this past Tuesday (June 28th), when the House of Commons passed a homosexual marriage bill. What do you think - will the United States follow its Northern Neighbor?

The U.S. won't do that any time soon. Damn Bush and his homophobia.

I would hardly say that the issue has come to a close in Canada. The law might be revoked later, amended, etc. I am not too optimistic that it will, but to say that the issue has come to a close isn't really true. The U.S. won't do that any time soon. Damn Bush and his homophobia. If we examine your statement WaffleHouse, Bush is understood to be solely responsible for homosexual marriage being illegal in America? Perhaps another class in American Government 101 would be helpful... (or perhaps just another viewing of School House Rock's "I'm Just a Bill"?) Also, I'd like to ask why it's neccesary to slander others with such terms as "homophobic" simply because they dissent from your view. It's crude and degrades your argument.

I'd ask both of you to stop before this gets out of hand. A debate should be totally impersonal.
WaffleHouse's argument could have been more "professionally" stated, true; but Areopagite, your degrading of his intelligence by suggesting he watch "School House Rocks" is no more acceptable.
