Will the terrorist attacks in Madrid affect the US in anyway? Was Spain attacked for supporting the war in Iraq?

Didn't spain pull out of Iraq? Or was it because of the terror attacks that spain pulled out?

As a result of the terrorist attacks the leader in Spain left (I think) but there is a new socialist leader in Spain now and he is the one who removed all troops from Iraq
just got done talking about this last period in Govt

hahha, the incumbent didn't just "leave", he's still there, i guess his title is prime minister, but a new socialist PM was voted for in elections, and he won, but before the elections, the incumbent PM, by all accounts was going to win the election. People think that the terrorist attack affected peoples voting, they voted for the socialist because he was against spanish support for the war in iraq and said he would pull troops out if he was elected. Spanish troops will remain in iraq untill the incumbents term is up, sometime this spring/summer i think. side note: Half of all new jobs in europe in the past eight years are in spain.. spains economy has risin quite a lot in the past view years... and all of a sudden they vote out the man who is pretty much responsible for this prosperity....right after a terrorist attack that was used to punish spain for their support of americans...
Even if they didn't vote differently because of the attacks, this sends a very powerful, and very bad message to terrorists, they now think that they can have an effect on the political landscape of the world by killing people...
one word for you spanish folks ...cobarde
